Ms. Banks’ Beye 2nd graders used mixed media to express their creativity this January. Guided by Art Start artist Jonathan Franklin, the students designed drawings on acetate using a black permanent marker and various colored paints. Once dried, the sheets of acetate were turned around and mounted to a piece of colored paper. The images resemble slick, shiny, vibrant cartoons.
Make sure to check out Jill Kramer’s photo slideshow of the project.
