17163537457_279a83be49_zThanks, Red Hen Bread – Oak Park for showcasing work from two Architecture Adventure projects. The first project is by Ms. Florczak’s 4th graders at Hatch Elementary School who replicated Chicago landmarks that define their respective neighborhoods. The second project was completed in conjunction with Holmes 4th graders’ study of the Great Chicago Fire. One of the results of the fire was use of new materials that made skyscrapers possible. Students drew recognizable Chicago skyscrapers by taking a small photo and blowing it up 4x, using cool grays for shadow and shade.
