Lunchtime Supervision
When your child is registered for both a morning and an afternoon camp, lunchtime supervision at camp is included. Just add that selection to your camp online registration form. With lunchtime supervision, kids at Beye and Whittier can bring their own sack lunch or purchase boxed lunches from us in advance. They’ll enjoy a little down time together, inside and on the playground, in the care of our friendly staff. After lunch, campers are escorted to their next camp and the afternoon fun begins!
If your camper is registered for only an AM or PM camp, you may add Lunchtime Supervision for a fee of $40/week and either send a sack lunch or purchase a boxed lunch from us (see below).
Food Options
Bring your own nut-free lunch, or purchase one from us in advance!
Boxed Lunch
Families enrolled in all-day BASE Camp can purchase daily boxed lunch and two snacks for $30/week. The Oak Park Education Foundation partners with the food service group at the Oak Park River Forest High School to provide the lunches. OPRF High School is the same group that provides lunches during the school year to all Oak Park public-school students.
The boxed lunch menu will include a sandwich/wrap, fruit, vegetables, and water, plus a morning/afternoon snack. All lunches are nut-free, and vegetarian and limited dairy options are available. We’re still putting the finishing touches on this year’s menu, but please see the sample menus below.
The menu is subject to minor changes and there are no substitutions. Boxed lunch with snacks are sold by the week only and must be prepaid; there will not be extra food on-site for sale.
