During the month of August, 6th-8th graders who participated in the 2014 Summer BASE Camp will be exhibiting select photographs at the Main Branch of the Oak Park Public Library.
The middle school students who participated in the digital photography class discovered new ways to look at their everyday surroundings. They used an SLR digital camera and practiced the basics of composition and exposure, snapping photos of camp classmates, Oak Park architecture, and other local areas of interest. They learned how to do simple touch-ups and dramatic manipulations of images with powerful photo editing software.
Check out some of the remarkable images captured by the young photographers here.
