We had a big turnout for Maker Day 2017 on MLK Day with more than 200 kids participating! From the intricate mosaic pieces to the Arduino zoetropes, to the spontaneous Extended Camp cardboard marble runs (and more!), your kids brought so much energy and creativity to the day. Special thanks to all of the educators, youth, and volunteers who helped us make it a fun-filled day. Not to mention, our photo studio partner MHCooper Photography — so many great shots of happy kids having fun!

SPOKEN WORD AT LUNCH

When you see talented kids speak so openly and honestly on diversity and race relations, it reminds you of why we all love Oak Park! OPEF’s Spoken Word clubs performed during lunchtime in celebration of MLK Day.
