Drenched in Fun at the 2017 Open House

A rainstorm the morning of November 4 put a slight damper on the  attendance at our first Open House in two years, but everyone had a great time, and stayed fully engaged in the activities.

Here are some highlights of what we did:

Architecture Adventure encouraged kids to recreate architectural landmarks on a light table.

Art Start demonstrated the elliptical shapes created by a pendulum and colored sand.

BASE Camp encouraged families to “train” their Ozobots to follow colored mazes.

Geared-Up kept visitors busy building elaborate structures.

Science Alliance encouraged students to predict a chemical reaction using Alka Seltzer and various fluids.

Spoken Word invited aspiring poets to riff using magnetic words.

VEX Robotics issued “robot licenses” to students who guided robots through various obstacles.

Thanks to everyone who came out and joined us on this rainy morning.
