Looking for a fun and educational activity on a cold January morning? The Oak Park Education Foundation (OPEF) Open House is the answer! We’ll have lots of hands-on activities for children age 5-12. Operate a VEX Robot, build a LEGO structure, make a bonsai tree, create a landmark building or experience astounding physics with an astronomer. And you can watch middle schoolers participating in the exciting OPEF Battle of the Bots competition in the gym.
Brought to you by OPEF, free of charge, the Open House will take place on January 26, 10AM-noon at Julian Middle School, 416 S. Ridgeland in Oak Park. We’re showcasing the programs we operate throughout the school year in all District 97 schools, and in our summer BASE Camp: Art Start, Geared Up, Science Alliance, Architecture Adventure and VEX Robotics. And you can learn more about OPEF, this summer’s BASE Camp, and our newest venture: a full day camp program on Casimir Pulaski Day for 3rd-8th graders!
