Science Alliance partner, Dr. Emily Minor, Associate Professor from UIC, came to Ms. Browning’s 3rd grade classroom to share her passion for Urban Landscape Ecology. The Irving students learned about the native birds of Oak Park – where they lived, what they ate, their unique features – and practiced their bird identification skills with a bird watching trip around the neighborhood.
