Karen Daily, who previously served as OPEF Board President and Fundraising Chair, is taking on a new role with the organization as Director of Development.
“I’m so excited to work with Karen in her new role as Director of Development. In addition to her impressive fundraising expertise and connections in Oak Park, Karen brings a deep understanding of, and great passion for OPEF’s work with D97 kids, teachers and experts from the community,” said Deb Abrahamson, Executive Director of OPEF.
Karen is a seasoned fundraising professional with more than ten years of experience working on education-related development campaigns. Most recently, as Advancement Specialist for Pillars Community Services, she helped coordinate the social service agency’s largest fundraiser, recruiting, placing and overseeing volunteers. Karen earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Illinois. She lives in Oak Park with her husband and two sons.

My passion for public education and enriching learning experiences led me to this amazing organization that has a tremendous impact in our community. I’m looking forward to advancing our mission to benefit all current and future students of District 97,” said Karen.
