When Lost in Pink became Tournament Champions at the Illinois State Championship they qualified for the World Championship. But going to the World Championship takes a big commitment in time and effort on the part of a team and their families. It was a commitment that the Lost in Pink team decided to make.

The 2014 VEX Robotics World Championship will be held April 23 – 26 in Anaheim, California. Over 150 middle school teams from around the world will be competing. This event includes tournament game play as well as judging in such areas as design, teamwork, creativity and so on.

Lost in Pink has been meeting most afternoons as well as some early mornings and lunches since early March to get their robot in fighting form. They have also been working hard to raise the funds needed to fly the students, parent chaperones, robot and equipment to the event.

There are several ways you can follow the progress of Lost in Pink Team 7480A at the World Championship this week:

  • For a live webcast: go to the World Tournament website and select the “Webcast” tab
  • You can also see the tournament results by selecting the “Results” tab
  • Follow us on Twitter @oprobotics
  • Download the VEX Via app, available at both iTunes and Android app stores

The best of luck, Lost in Pink!
