Architecture Adventure coordinator and architect Adrienne McMullen taught Mann 4th graders about distinctive skylines from across the world, and the students identified structures that make each skyline unique. They then worked with art teacher Mr. Schmidt to design and create their own special skylines with cardboard and paint. The kids each developed their own signature building so they could quickly recognize their skyline. The creations are on display at the Red Hen Bread (736 Lake St, Oak Park, IL) through December.
Thanks to volunteer photographer Laura Donoghue for these great photos of the skyline designers in action.
