Falling Water, Habitat 67, Vitrahaus, Matchbox are all famous international buildings that are striking in their use of simple geometric shapes. Brooks middle school students selected a building they found inspiring, and set about recreating it — in miniature! Using foam core, X-actos, and other materials, the kids constructed the 3D replicas in Mr. Leban’s Applied Art class with the help of Adrienne McMullen and the OPEF Architecture Adventure program. The buildings will be on display at the Oak Park Public Library’s Main Branch from November 14 through Thanksgiving.
