OPEF VEX Robotics is in its 11th year, and we’ve expanded our offerings to benefit more students than ever before!
This year 168 students are participating in our program, and we’re hosting two competitions: Battle of the Bots on February 4th and the 2017 Illinois Middle School VEX Robotics State Championship on March 4th! Also, we’ve started a pilot program at Julian to see how we can best serve students who need to learn the basics of robot design and programming or who don’t want the commitment of a long competitive club season. And for kids who just want to build something fun and creative after school in a non-competitive environment, we’ve got MakerSpace at both Brooks and Julian!
All of this promises to make the Robotics Labs at Brooks and Julian very busy and exciting places to be this year!
