Mo Santiago
Spoken Word Artist
With a concentration in poetry, Mo uses her word to open up conversations around sexual assault and intimacy amongst various themes. As the current teaching artist for OPEF, Mo hopes to provide young writers with the tools they need to start their own dialogues and express themselves in ways that shed light on who they are. As a self study, her photography focuses on embalming time and faces; she appreciates accidental blurs and digs smallness. Mo records a mini-podcast talking about body health and starting conversations around STI awareness and sexual assault. If provided the chance, she’ll give you the rundown on how to ditch plastic and save the environment. She’s homegrown right here in the city of Chicago and studying writing at Columbia College Chicago. In her free time she drinks coffee and travels to Ireland as often as possible.
