JULIAN VEX ROBOTICSIN-HOUSE AND COMPETITIVE LEAGUE
Julian Competitive Club
This intensive program is for the experienced, dedicated technology student who has some experience with VEX Robotics and ROBOTC programming. Students work on teams to design build and program robots to play this year’s VEX Robotics Challenge game. Students then compete in competitions against other area schools. This year we will be participating in the new Chicagoland Robotics League. The culmination of the season will be the Battle of the Bots League Championship on March 2, 2019. The Julian Competitive Club meets Wednesdays from 3:30-5 pm and Saturdays from 9 am-12 noon (2018-2019 School Year). Please fill out this application to join the competitive club. Julian In-House League
This program is designed for the student new to VEX Robotics with little or no experience with ROBOTC programming or for the student who would like a less intensive/competitive experience or who cannot commit to the long season of our Competitive Club. Students are taught the basics of robot design and programming. They then work in teams to build and program a VEX robot to play in our In-House League competition, the Robot Rumble. Students meet one day a week from 3:30-5 pm and have 2 sessions to choose from:
- Fall In-House League: Tuesdays 3:30-5 pm, 10/23-1/29; Robot Rumble: 1/22 (2018-2019 School Year)
- Winter In-House League: Tuesdays 3:30-5 pm, 2/5-5/7; Robot Rumble: 4/30 (2018-2019 School Year)
There will be an interest meeting for the in-house league on Friday, September 28 at 3:30 in Ms. Valerie Brown’s room (B202). After filling out an application, students will be placed in either the Fall or Winter session. Applications are due October 18 and students will be notified of their placement on October 19.
