JULIAN VEX ROBOTICS

IN-HOUSE AND COMPETITIVE LEAGUE

Julian Competitive Club

This intensive program is for the experienced, dedicated technology student who has some experience with VEX Robotics and ROBOTC programming. Students work on teams to design build and program robots to play this year’s VEX Robotics Challenge game. Students then compete in competitions against other area schools. This year we will be participating in the new Chicagoland Robotics League. The culmination of the season will be the Battle of the Bots League Championship on March 2, 2019. The Julian Competitive Club meets Wednesdays from 3:30-5 pm and Saturdays from 9 am-12 noon (2018-2019 School Year). Please fill out this application to join the competitive club. Julian Robot Creed
This is my robot. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
I built this robot with only advice from others; it is mine from idea to design to fruition.

My robot without me is useless: It does only what I tell it to do. I becomes only what I make it to be. My learning is never complete.

The success of my robot will depend on me—my technical skill, tactical proficiency and attention to detail. with or without directions, I will take charge, lead my teammates and accomplish the goals we have set.

My robot is my best friend. I must master it as I must master my life. We both know that what counts in this world is not how many points are scored, but how the game is played.

Before Robotics: Fetch the water, chop the wood.
After Robotics: Fetch the water, chop the wood.
