The Oak Park Education Foundation is pleased to announce the pilot introduction of a BASE Camp boxed lunch program. We have heard from busy families that they would welcome the convenience of being able to buy (versus pack) a lunch during camp days.
Families enrolled in all-day in BASE Camp can now purchase daily boxed lunch and two snacks for each week of camp for $30 ($24 for the short week of July 4th). The Oak Park Education Foundation has partnered with the food service group at the Oak Park River Forest High School to provide the lunches. OPRF High School is the same group that provides lunches during the school year to all Oak Park public-school students.
The pilot boxed lunch menu will include a sandwich/wrap, fruit, vegetables, and a bottle of water plus a morning/afternoon snack. See more information about the currently planned menu. The menu is subject to minor changes and there are no substitutions. Boxed lunch with snacks are sold by the week only and must be prepaid; there will not be extra food on-site for sale.
Families can order by logging in to their existing BASE Camp registration account. From the dashboard, click on the red “Add Camps” button, and scroll to the bottom for lunch orders.
Deadline for ordering is May 13.
