VEX High School Mentors

Program graduates can apply to serve as High School Mentors for our VEX Robotics teams. These students must commit to coming at least once a week to mentor and advise students in the skills they need to design, build and program their robots. We will also consider high school students who have related experience in robotics, programming, mechanics and/or engineering.

Students receive a small stipend and consideration for the job of Youth Counselor at our BASE Camp program – both summer and day-off camp.

Interested? For more information, contact Brooks Head Coaches Marc Bishop or John McDowell or Julian Head Coach Tim Walsh.

"I've personally opened up to many different opportunities because of my role in VEX. I was nominated for a science award, and I had the opportunity to help at OPRF High School. We are currently trying to bring VEX to the high school, and we hope next year we will have a team, too."

"Mentoring at VEX is unlike anything else I have or probably will ever do... When you can see the look on the kids' faces when they wow themselves with what they have built -- that's my favorite thing about being a mentor... It's an incredible, unparalleled experience and program."
