Rooms are abuzz with activity, excitement and even a few robots already scooting around. OPEF’s VEX Robotics clubs, for 6th-8th graders at both Brooks and Julian Middle Schools, have been meeting after school once a week since October 10. In teams of four, club members are learning basic robot construction and programming skills. They are also beginning to plan the design of their competition bot for the Sack Attack game being played this season by VEX teams around the world. Coming up soon is the first local competition in Rolling Meadows on December 1.
